We have reported these issues to Canon and will post an update when we can tell you more. In our tests the camera failed to trigger the flash between 1% and 10% of the time, and occasionally the flash triggered three times per shot. There seems to be an issue triggering studio strobes reliably when using a hotshoe to PC sync adaptor. The external power cord connection for the M50 is on the camera base
